Don’t Accept Personal Checks

In any business that you have, it would do you good not to accept personal or even manager’s checks. That’s because even the popular personalities may give you checks that would bounce. Even your relatives would.

I’ve just had some checks deposited last week from my relative. there were 7 checks. Guess what? Last Wednesday I got a text message from my bank saying all checks had bounced. Now I have to pay the bank for each check. Sheesh! In case you want to take the risk, do ask for a signed preformed written contract that in case the check bounces, the owner will have to indemnify you for all charges that will be incurred out of it.

It would be better for you to accept credit cards or pay pal payments. the responsibility of running after your client will fall on their shoulders but you get paid.

Income from the Web – Your Free Resources

Who says you can earn from the Web? He’s right! You can actually earn from the internet. There are several ways to earn: by paid surfing, by blogging, by doing an online business, etc. But I prefer to blog.

So far I have made a little amount already. But hopefully, I’d be able to increase my income as the days pass. After all, I’ve just really started to focus on my blogs after I realized that the nursing board will take forever to be released. Let me share with you how I did it:

1. Choose a theme to write about. The first blog I had was my Bahay ni Juana account and is a general blog which means that everything I write is placed there. Well, like going to a buffet, it is hard for the search engines to determine where to classify my blog and thus giving it less exposure. When I created my Tabi Tabi Po account which is a travel blog, it got more attention from the search engines. Thus traffic to that site is higher.

2. Create a blog or a website. You may use blogger.com which I use with mine. However, if you have money, it would be better to create your blog in a paid site. Do not forget to put tags or labels on your posts. These are words that search engines look for.

3. Write your blogs. Content is the most important part of your site. Without it, there is no assurance that your visitors will want to return. There are a lot of things that you may want to write on. It will be too lengthy to write it here so I’ll write another blog to tackle this.

4. Sign up with some sponsors. In order to generate income, there should be advertisers in your site. There are many genuine advertisers but there are more fraudulent ones. I have signed up with Google Adsense, Kontera.com, and affiliate programs such as that of bravenet.com.

5. Sign up with blogsvertise. After about 6 months that you have your blog running, sign up with blogsvertise.com. They will give you tasks that you can write on. Be sure to submit your url to them.

6. Sign up with paypal.com. Paypal is a secure site where your can have your sponsors deposit payments to you.

7. Sign up with Traffic swarm and submit your site. This will create instant traffic for your site.

8. Submit your site to search engines like google, yahoo, exactseek and others.

o. Submit your site to Pingomatic.com to alert search engines each time you update your blog.

That’s it for now. Happy blogging!

Welcome!

So, I’ve finally created a business blog. I like this topic because it will help not just me but my readers to augment their income. So Let’s get it on!
