One way to be able to encourage children to get into business is to teach them the value of money and to let them earn some to buy something that they like. My friend Butch has made me realize that. I had witnessed how she would ask her children to seal some nuts which she sold to our neighbors before. That made the children interested as they were given extra money for the work they’d done.
Also, my own daughter had been taught in school to make an entrepreneural plan. Her interest in cooking made her think of a business in yogurt making. She had been able to sell some juice before to us and some neighbors that had earned her some money during the previous summers and she now wants to put her yogurt business to a test. Of course, I’d be there to support her.
